Well, today was my first day of school.
Mart walked with me to school, so that was really nice. It ended up NOT raining. In fact, it was extremely hot. I broke out into a sweat just standing outside. Which sucked, because I would have worn something cooler. I just thought it was going to rain because there was thunder the night before and that morning looked very cloudy and dark.
My seminar teacher changed, since Mrs. Canzone had her baby. It’s pretty cool though, because I have Mr. Henson, my choir teacher, now. He seems pretty chill, and I can picture myself doing last minute homework in his class, unlike with Mrs. Canzone who made us do vocabulary and reading without bending any rules.
I think I’m going to like all of my teachers except maybe for my AP Bio teacher. I mean, she doesn’t seem mean or anything, but out of all my teachers she seems like the dullest. She speaks with such enthusiasm, it totally keeps me awake.
Well, now that we have about 900 freshmen in addition to our student body, the school is majorly packed. My AP Psych class is in the english building, and my next period, AP Econ, is on the top floor of the science building, which is across campus. It’s bad enough that the classes themselves are far apart. It’s even worse that the hallways in the english building are SO clogged up with students coming in and out. You literally move at a snail’s pace, and sometimes even have to stop completely. I walked as fast as I could after I passed the huge congestion, but I was extremely tardy to my class. I was one of the last people to get there. It was the first day so it wasn’t a problem, but I’m worried I won’t be able to make it to class on time every single day for the rest of the year! There are just TOO many people at the school now!
And as for lunch, I’m not sure if it’s just me or if lunch is cut short, but lunch zooms by extremely quickly. I barely sat down and ate half of my pizza before the bell rang again  .
I was kind of happy being in a classroom again, but I’m not looking forward to any of the homework at all. I can already imagine the massive stacks I’ll have to do later.
Speaking of homework, ironically, the homework I worked on till 2 in the morning yesterday night is NOT due until Sept. 17. That’s CRAZY. I heard rumors about it, but I didn’t believe it because the date seemed so far away. What a gyp. But at least I’m done with everything and I won’t procrastinate on the 16 of Sept, haha. Plus, I can tell they’re going to give more homework on top of the summer homework even if you haven’t completed it yet. It was funny. When my teacher asked who did complete the assignments, only myself and practically one other girl raised our hands.
All in all, I’m pretty much happy with my classes. They all have a seating chart, but it doesn’t bother me too much. I get to see a lot of friends I don’t see too much over the summer. I have Mart for lunch and physics. I have Jazmin for history and lunch. I have some other people for almost all of my classes. It’s cool.
