My mom is very proud of me. Try not to forget it.

Yesterday she told me she was very proud of me, which caught me off guard, because she never really acknowledges my accomplishments. I guess she’s just like a lot of Asian moms—full of pride but they don’t like to express their feelings through words.

It’s hard to remember my mom is proud of me when she doesn’t act like it, but I’ll try to keep it in mind. She’s proud of me, even if she doesn’t express it.
