Now that I’m finally here, I can totally see how time management in college can be REALLY, really hard (especially if you’re living in a dorm).
So far I haven’t dared to sleep past 2 or 3 AM on school nights because I know Mommy will not be here to wake up up for class. Not just that, but falling asleep in class is very bad. It’s not even because you’ll get in trouble anymore; you just don’t want to miss anything important. However, no more late nights studying means less time to study…
It gets VERY difficult to study unless you’re in the library. The libraries here in college are AMAZING. The downside: they close at 11 PM and if you spend all day (or even just some hours) here, you will not make as many friends. At the very least, you won’t be able to get closer and socialize. However, studying in the dorms is next to impossible unless you have good discipline and are indifferent to noise (totally not me).
It’s only been the first “real” days of school and I’m already worried about how I’m going to keep up… I opted out of going out to eat for dinner with the girls from my suite (it’s someone’s birthday!) since I already ate, plus I have a lot of homework…
Hopefully I can figure this out as time goes on. I better…
