As you may or may not know, I am a sushi maniac. I love it. After discovering it sometime in 2008 during my freshman year in college, I was hooked like a fish (ha, ha) and I just couldn’t have enough. Before my first real encounter with sushi, I was seriously grossed out by the idea of eating a raw fish. But like they say, don’t knock it until you try it. I think the reason why I love sushi so much is because if the sushi is of good quality, it should not have that “fishy” taste we all know very well. It has a distinct flavor but it is nothing like the cooked fish we are used to eating. Additionally, it is super soft and it feels as if it is heavenly melting in your mouth. Teamed up with a nice bed of sushi rice (vinegar flavored rice), maybe some soy sauce and wasabi, it really is wonderful.

Of course, if you are not a sushi fan, it is certainly not a bad thing because being a sushi addict is very, very costly. A sushi roll (about 8-10 pieces) can cost around 10 dollars, and two pieces of nigiri (fish on a plain bed of sushi rice) can cost around 2-5 dollars around here. Our usual sushi outings set us back around $15-25 dollars per person, depending on the restaurant and how hungry we are.

Anyway, that’s besides the point of this post. I just wanted to update and say I have finally subdued the sushi monster within, at least for a little while, haha. Normally I will crave sushi even right after I just ate it. It was that bad. My boyfriend and I went to an all-you-can-eat sushi joint yesterday and I definitely had my fill. We ate for about an hour! Our favorites were the salmon sushi and the cajun salmon sushi, sooo yummy. I think that will last me a long time now, and hopefully our wallets will be spared. :p

Website updates: Now that I’m finally settled down, I started updating a few things on my website today. I added the Affiliate and Link Exchange pages; it’s time I go out hunting for some soon! I also added an Articles page, basically linking to any specific blog posts (that I deem at least remotely worthy) that are written more for the readers. I also added a new Tutorial: Increase FaceBook Privacy with “Limited Profile”. And finally, I added some pictures to my Collections page. (Oops, links on this post were not working, fixed that now)
