You wake up from your night of good, uninterrupted sleep, the first one you’ve had in over a week. It’s the weekend, so you don’t have to rush and there are no school assignments that you have to panic about and finish before N o’clock. So you continue lying in bed, wiggling your toes between the bedsheets and your blanket. Your arm slides underneath the cool pillow and you close your eyes again.

“I can breathe…through both nostrils! I feel so well-rested! My throat doesn’t hurt! I’M ALIVEEE!!!”

That is along the lines of what I felt this late morning. ^_^ It was so good. I had a week of roughly 4 hours of sleep each night because of so many tests/midterms/assignments to do, including class, 3-4 hour labs, and research lab…even though I was sick and all I wanted to do was go home and sleep. But finally, finally I am feeling well again.

I absolutely love the feeling that you get the first morning after you feel recovered. It’s like you’re alive again. So if you ever get sick and feel miserable, at least there will be that one morning where you finally feel alive again (because when you’re sick, all you want to do is crawl under a rock and wither away). It’s a good reminder of how lucky we are when we do have good health and can go throughout the day doing what we need to do.
