Haha, I love how I’ve had two posts about food already. After being starved for food, you kind of get obsessed with food when you can finally eat anything you want again. :p I was craving ice cream so bad! But I figured dairy wouldn’t be such a good idea till I was feeling better, which I am now!

The boyfriend and I really like Thrifty ice cream. I personally like them for their unique flavor: the chocolate malted krunch. It’s chocolate ice cream with chocolate chunks, but the unique thing about it is the crunchy little white malt balls. I’ve never had any ice cream before that had malt balls in them. Thrifty ice cream is also quite cheap, so that’s the other appeal to it. My mom said she remembers how she used to love it and it would be like 5 cents a scoop. I think now they’re like closer $1.30 for a single scoop and a triple scoop is like $2.50. Yum for ice cream though! Too bad it’s still cold and winter, but that doesn’t stop us from eating it, haha. 8-)

Chocolate Malted Krunch

My first “bought” meal was Subway. I was so reluctant to buy any food ever since my food poisoning, haha. But since I was on campus for a night class till 10pm I had to buy some kind of food. -.- I figured Subway would be the best type of fast food compared to everything else on campus. It was pretty delicious. All the food I’ve been eating lately are amazing after previously having a diet consisting of, well, nothing. haha. ^_^

My toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, pickles, mayo and honey mustard. Not sure if I’m the only person who likes to pair both pickles and cucumbers, but yeah. :D Bland crunchiness with sour crunchiness are a good pair. Ah, food. *love*

Sandwich

I have this cute little touch light. His shape reminds me of a little ghost. My best friend in elementary bought me it for one of my birthdays and I still have it. It’s one of those presents that is really awesome but useful at the same time, so you end up keeping it for a really long time. I don’t sleep with night lights anymore – I used to when I was a kid because I hated total darkness. Somehow I just stopped using it and was okay with total darkness. I’m not one of those people who normally go to the bathroom in the middle of the night anyways so having a little light in my bedroom while I’m sleeping is not that necessary. However, I was pretty sick with food poisoning over the past weekend, and I felt like having some light so that I could barf into my designated barf bowl (yuck, lol) would be good. So I kept my little ghost night light near my bed. ^_^ Since I’ve had him for so long, he can’t work without being plugged in anymore, but he used to be chargeable.

He’s an awesome little guy.

Night Light

From my lovely food poisoning experience over the entire weekend, I lost about 5 pounds. Isn’t that ridiculous? By Sunday evening, I was sooo weak that my head hurt so bad and I felt so off-balanced. My diet for the past few days was pretty much a few crackers, a bunch of liquid, and a bowl of soup. It was pretty bad, but I had no appetite and if I had eaten anything else it would probably have come out from one end or the other. *sick* When I stepped on the scale, I was a weight that I hadn’t been since I was a teenager, haha. @_@

Then when I put my pants on, they felt loose, lol! These pants are quite comfortable when I’m my normal weight, and they are accomodating when I indulge in too much food :p BUT after the food poisoning ordeal, they felt too loose for once. Yeah…you do not want to lose too much weight too fast by just not eating. It feels miserable and you can feel how unhealthy it is. Here’s to my normal food diet soon enough!

Pants

I think I got food poisoning from eating a burger. It was the only thing I ate all day, and the next day when I woke up, I immediately felt horrible. In fact, I woke up earlier without an alarm (that never happens on a school day) because I wasn’t feeling so good. It wasn’t too extreme, so I forced myself to go to school. I got through the day okay, but when I was in research lab…that was when I started feeling very, very weak. Nauseous, dizzy, stomach cramps, tired. I was so grateful that I had less to do than usual, so I was able to finish by 4:30pm rather than usual (which is normally later in the evening). After I got home? SLEEP. I wanted to sleep forever. I felt so exhausted. My stomach was feeling terrible. I wanted to vomit, but I didn’t eat anything for an entire day, so there was nothing to vomit. Basically, there wasn’t any food in me to come out from either end, lol. The fever came on, too. I was 101 degrees. T_T

Honestly, it was terrible. I slept on and off every hour. Then at night, I slept the entire night. My mom bought me this pediatric drink, which you would normally give to babies when they’re dehydrated and need to replace liquid & electrolytes. It’s supposed to be better than stuff like Gatorade since that has too much sugar. Oh boy. No more burgers for me…for quite a while.
