I think it was at least a year that passed by before I realized that this fountain at school was actually an “infinity fountain.” At first, I thought it was just a weird-looking fountain. There is some pretty weird architecture on campus (note to self: take pic of it for project 365), so that wouldn’t have been surprising. But one day my friend said it made an infinity shape. Even when she said that, I couldn’t see it! LOL. Since this fountain is in the “sciencey” and “mathy” area of campus, I have to walk by it a lot. As a result, I tried looking for the infinity symbol and then I finally saw it, haha. :p

For my boyfriend’s birthday, I bought him these awesome headphones. The gift stemmed from the fact that he always wanted headphones and also because there was a one day deal at Amazon. The deal was for V-Moda headphones, but after reading comments and asking my brother, it turns out the Sennheiser would probably be a better investment than V-Moda ones. The V-Moda ones were definitely really good looking and fashionable, but in the end I had to ruin the surprise to ask him which one he would rather want, and I ended up buying the Sennheiser (my brother also really recommended it).

If you haven’t broken them in yet, headphones can be a bit tight on the head and uncomfortable after a long time of wearing. So the easiest way to get it to be more comfortable faster is to leave the headphones on something to stretch them out a bit. My boyfriend chose his stuffed gorilla (which we “won” – a friend was working at the game so we kinda got it despite losing the game – from the fair). I thought it was so funny and cute. 8-)

Oh goodness, I slept 3 hours last night, so when I got home earlier I slept first thing until 1 am. @_@ Want more sleeeeep.

This is my library of choice. 6 floor building with sweet, sweet silence. Haha. There’s always a place to study here. Except maybe during finals week, where you might have to use a cubicle right next to a stranger. *gasp* :p There’s this usually unwritten rule in college where you try not to sit directly next to somebody in the science library. It’s because there are like 6 spacious floors with tons of cubicles and tables, so the necessity of sitting right next to someone is very non-existent and a little awkward because of that.

Anyways, it’s all shaped in one huge circle. In the center of the library is well, nothing. So if you stand outside in the middle, you can look up and see the sky. I wanted to capture that with my camera, but my camera couldn’t get the entire shot so it just looked like the camera staring at the plain sky. Haha. Next best thing was a part of the building. The windows are very interesting. The greenish/yellow colored ones in the middle are covered with paper(?) or something, to block sunlight from damaging the books that are right beside the window, I suppose.

In the middle of the park at school (our school is built in a circle around the park), there’s a cute little sitting area with a rock wall. I was going to take a picture of the entire thing, but there was this random pile of trash on the floor. >_< As I stepped closer to the rock though, I noticed this weird silhouette of a girl on the rock. I thought that was interesting. I wonder if that was always there or if someone recently put that there? Hmm.

(Oh, and in case you’re curious as to why the plaque on the rock is so swirly, I did that because it contains my school’s name and the name of the park :p )

Is that a bird next to the girl?

Happy Lunar New Year! As I mentioned the other day, my family usually doesn’t do much to celebrate. But we almost always have some kind of festive flowering plant on the table. In recent years, my mom got this idea where she would hang red envelopes on the plant, and each envelope would be filled with a certain amount of money. She would tell my brother and me to each pick an envelope and whatever money was inside was ours to keep. The amount would range from $10 to $100 so of course you want to be lucky and get the $100 one :p I thought it was so cute of my mom to do that. I really can’t remember the outcome of it, but I remember one year my brother got maybe $20 and I got $50 (memory is fuzzy). And I remember consoling him by saying, “At least you didn’t get the $10 one!” haha. :D

This year my family is very tight on money, and my mom said she couldn’t give me much. I told her it was okay and I didn’t have to get one this year, but she insisted and said it’s for good luck despite the amount inside. And then she told me how excited she felt when she was a kid and collected her red envelopes. So sweet. I still haven’t looked inside my envelope, but I really cherish it and I think my mom is so sweet. Here’s to the new year. ^_^
